What is Bounce Rate & How can we we keep Bounce Rate of our website low?
Feb 23, 2023
Bounce rate is a metric used in web analytics to measure the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your website from the landing page without interacting with the page. In other words, it is the number of visits to a website in which the visitor only viewed a single page and then left without clicking on any other links or taking any other actions.
Bounce rate is calculated as the number of single-page visits divided by the total number of visits to a website. For example, if a website has 100 visits and 50 of those visits were single-page visits, the website's bounce rate would be 50%.
Bounce rate is an important metric to track because it can give you insight into the effectiveness of your website and its ability to engage and retain visitors. A high bounce rate can indicate that your website's content is not relevant or interesting to visitors, or that the website has technical or design issues that are causing visitors to leave. A low bounce rate, on the other hand, can indicate that your website is engaging and relevant to visitors, and that they are exploring multiple pages and interacting with the site.
It's important to keep in mind that bounce rate is not the only metric you should use to evaluate the success of your website. Other metrics, such as time on site, pages per session, and conversion rate, can also provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of your website and your ability to engage and convert visitors.
